South by Southwest (SxSw) is a blend of music, film, technology, and trends, conferences held every year in Austin Texas. Thousands and thousands of Artists and Professionals attend this event and perform, showcase talent, productions, and new technology.
If you are in the entertainment or media industry, this conference is a great event to make note of on your calendar.
Unfortunately, I didn't find out about this annual conference until today or I would've posted the link (on the left sidebar of this blog) long ago.
But, this has also sparked an idea.
Now, if you're a person who loves music, film, and new technologies, but you're having a hard time, finding your "sound", niche, or style, or you don't have the money or talent, then why not partner with some friends (who are Serious - leave the yappers, dreamers, and bullshitters alone) and start your own conference, seminar, workshop, or social club?
Here's a video on to coordinate your own event and how much hands-on experience and skills are involved. There are many other videos about "how to organize events" and "event planning" on YouTube. Even if you don't pursue event coordinating as a career, this information can still help you plan an event to showcase your own music or film production, group, band, videos, ideas, or talents.
